Open Positions

We’re excited to share that Red Rad Republik is growing, and we’re looking for exceptional educators to join our team. We are currently hiring full-time Math, Science, and English Tutors who are passionate about learner-centered education and committed to helping young people thrive.

At Red Rad Republik, we believe learning should be engaging, personalized, and meaningful. If you are an innovative educator who enjoys thinking beyond traditional classroom models, we’d love to hear from you.

1) In-Home Math & Science Tutor

Some of our learners follow a predominantly home-based and online learning pathway and require one-on-one support from a dedicated tutor. We are seeking an experienced educator with strong expertise in Mathematics and Science who can also confidently support learners across core subjects including English and Social Studies.

The Learners

You will work closely with two boys in-person at their home:

  • Grade 7
  • Grade 9
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a weekly learning schedule.
  • Collaborate with the learners to set academic goals and learning targets.
  • Adapt lessons from our online curriculum to make them more engaging, relevant, and meaningful.
  • Use an explicit instruction approach to ensure the learners have mastered concepts and skills before they attempt assignments, worksheets, and quizzes.
  • Support the learners as they complete their coursework.
  • Review assignments and worksheets before submission.
  • Ensure all work is submitted through the online learning platform.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Participate in Red Rad community activities, including Fist Bump Fridays and staff professional development workshops.

Training on our curriculum, online platform, and approaches to lesson enhancement will be provided.

Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – approximately 2:00 PM (You will be on-campus every Friday)

2) On-Campus Math & Science Tutor

Working primarily within our Pod Squad Experience from Grade 3 through 8 (and potentially our Fully Immersive Experience).

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome new learners and help them feel at home through our onboarding and orientation process.
  • Engage deeply with learner profiles, dossiers, and “Boxes of Delight” to understand each learner’s unique strengths, interests, and needs.
  • Design and deliver engaging, learner-centered lessons using the Explicit Instruction approach, and Universal Design for Learning guidelines.
  • Assign meaningful practice work that reinforces mastery and long-term retention.
  • Assess learner progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Provide accommodations and support for diverse learner needs.
  • Mentor and coach learners.
  • Actively participating in all school activities and experiences.
  • Lead an enrichment activity of your choice as part of Club Red.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an exceptional learning environment.
  • Participate in collaborative learner inquiries and problem-solving discussions.
  • Attend parent–tutor conferences.
  • Serve as Tutor-on-Duty during assigned days/weeks.
  • Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.
Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – approximately 2:00 PM

3) On-Campus English & Add-On Subjects Support Tutor

This role is ideal for an educator whose primary specialization is English (Language Arts). Initially, your work will focus primarily on supporting our self-directed enrichment and add-on subjects, including:

  • World Languages
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Technology
  • Bible Study

These subjects are designed to be learner-driven, so your role will not be instructional per se but rather focus more on:

  • Guiding learners and helping them set goals.
  • Monitoring progress and providing encouragement.
  • Supervising learning sessions.
  • Supporting learner accountability and independence.

From time to time, you may also deliver English (Language Arts) lessons when covering for resident tutors.

Additionally, you will:

  • Lead an enrichment activity through Club Red.
  • Support the development of a vibrant learner-centered culture.
Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – approximately 2:00 PM
