Open Positions

We're thrilled to share that Red Rad Republik is expanding, and we're on the lookout for some amazing new team members! If you join our team, get ready for a fun-filled, energetic, and truly rewarding journey!

1 ENGLISH TUTOR, 1 MATH TUTOR, & 1 SCIENCE TUTOR

We have 3 exciting positions to fill. We're looking to hire an English Tutor, a Math Tutor, and a Science Tutor on a full-time basis.

A Day in the Life of a Tutor at Red Rad Republik

Here's a sneak peek of a day in your life at RRR as a tutor:

7:30 AM to 8:00 AM: Start your day with a refreshing Brain Gym session alongside our awesome Rad community to get those positive vibes flowing!

8:00 AM to 8:30 AM: After Brain Gym, we will all gather for Circle Time. You will sometimes help lead this uplifting time filled with prayer, a quick catch-up, and some fun activities that get our creative juices flowing. We'll wrap it all up with our special Rad Creed!

8:30 AM to 10:30 AM: This is lesson time! You'll have the chance to connect with learners one-on-one, usually for 30 to 60 minutes at a time, using the Explicit Instruction approach. Your prepared lesson plans will guide you, and you'll have the flexibility to adjust and adapt as needed to ensure the lesson objectives are met and that each learner is thriving.

10:30 AM to 11:00 AM: It's time for Recess One! Grab some snacks and relax in our cozy lounge, Tausi. We love to play card games or board games together and enjoy some quality time without our devices.

11:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Dive back into lesson time, delivering personalized lessons to even more eager learners!

1:00 PM to 1:40 PM: Lunchtime! Enjoy a delicious meal and use this time to bond with others, take a stroll around the campus, or engage in fun activities in our recreational space, Jani! You'll have lots of options!

1:40 PM to 2:40 PM: Let's get planning! This is your time to prepare engaging lesson plans for the upcoming week, keeping in mind each learner's unique needs and interests. Plus, you'll formally close out the lessons completed for the day by filling out the review section that will help you track progress and/or tweak upcoming lessons as needed.

2:40 PM to 3:00 PM: Time for Circle Back! We'll check in, play a couple of games, and close out the day with a word of prayer before letting learners head off to Recess Two and Club Red.

3:00 PM to 3:30 PM: Enjoy Recess Two! Refuel with snacks and connect with both learners and staff. As a tutor, you will always be ready to engage, support, and build those meaningful connections.

3:30 PM to 4:30 PM: In this time, you can jump back into planning, reflect on the lessons of the day, or join in on the fun of Club Red activities. Occasionally, you'll also participate in collective inquiries about each learner with our Action Research Lead.

4:30 PM: School's Out! If you're the Tutor on Duty, part of your job is to help all our amazing learners get packed up and ready to go at the end of the day. Remember, they need to be picked up from the Hub by their parent or guardian, or an individual authorized by the parent/guardian.

A Quick Note: Fridays at RRR are extra special! We celebrate what we fondly call Fist Bump Fridays, filled with fun activities like presentations, games, dancing, competitions, movies, and lots more often connected to our theme of the week. It's also a time to celebrate everyone with our special form of merits - Fist Bumps, awarded for what they have done particularly well that week. Staff wrap up their day at 1:30 PM while learners go off to enjoy swimming as part of their Club Red activities until 3:00 PM, and then school is officially out for the week!
